Chandigarh: A major reshuffle has been done in the Chandigarh Police.
14 DSPs have been transferred. The most known transfer is that of DSP Abhinandan. He was the DSP of Chandigarh North East. But he was accused of illegally detaining a youth and beating him. Since then, there has been a constant demand to remove him from there. Now he has been given additional charge of the DSP Operation Cell. In his place, DSP Jasvir Singh from Operation Cell has been appointed as the North East DSP.
DCP Crime Uday Pal Singh has been given the responsibility of security by the High Court. Earlier, Amrao Singh was looking after the security of the High Court; he has been posted as DSP Training. Similarly, DSP Jaswinder Singh has been removed from Traffic and Road Safety and posted as DSP South.
Ram Gopal has received DCP traffic from DSP CID. Dalbir Singh has been removed from DCP South and posted as DSP CID. Harjeet Kaur has been removed from the post of DSP Traffic and given the charge of DSP PCR, which was earlier with Sukhwinder Pal.
