Man stabbed to death over land dispute during Panchayat in Panipat; Brother critically injured

Panipat, June 8: In Haryana’s Panipat, a young man was stabbed to death in a panchayat meeting over land division. His brother, who came to save him, was also attacked. It is alleged that the uncle’s son carried out this incident in front of the panchayat. The uncle also supported him in this.

On the other hand, this incident caused a stampede in the Panchayat. The people who were holding the Panchayat with the attackers ran away from there. The police also reached the spot as soon as the information was received. The police sent the body of the deceased to the civil hospital.

The deceased was identified as Sunil (35), a resident of Chhichharana village, while the injured is his brother Anil (32), who has been admitted to a hospital. The deceased was the father of two children.

Panchayat was going on in the temple Chaupal

According to the information received, the matter is of village Chichharana, where a panchayat was being held in the village on Sunday morning. The panchayat was going on in the temple Chaupal in the village. Here an attempt was being made to resolve the dispute between two brothers regarding land division.

Meanwhile, after an argument in the Panchayat, Subhash and his son Jaipal attacked Sunil (35), son of Ramchandra Nanu, with knives. Anil (32), who came to rescue him, was also stabbed several times. Sunil died on the spot in the incident, while Anil was seriously injured. The injured was immediately taken to a private hospital, where his condition remains critical.

The dispute was going on over two and a half acres of land

Giving information, injured Sunil’s brother-in-law Pradeep, a resident of village Khukharana, said that this dispute was over about two and a half acres of land. It had escalated a lot in the last two months. A panchayat was held regarding this on Sunday. Balkar Singh Nambardar, Raju, Ramkumar, Rishipal, Randhir were also present in it. People from both the families and relatives were also present in the panchayat. During the panchayat, Subhash’s son Jaipal alias Rinku, in a fit of rage, attacked both the brothers with knives.

Accused absconded after the incident

There was a stampede after this incident which took place in the panchayat. First of all accused Jaipal and his father Subhash absconded from the spot. After this the people present there also dispersed. Only the family members of the deceased remained at the spot. After sending the injured to the hospital, the police was informed. The police reached on getting the information, gathered the information of the case and also took the body of deceased Sunil in their custody and sent it for postmortem.
