Rohtak: The police have rounded up the mastermind who buried the Rohtak teacher alive in a well after kidnapping him, but it is not confirmed yet. The Rohtak CIA staff is interrogating him and preparations are being made to take him on remand. Sources say that the accused Rajkaran is in police custody.
Police sources say that Rajkaran is being questioned about how he carried out the crime. The police may also recreate the crime scene before making any disclosure. It is also being ascertained whether the teacher was killed and buried or was buried alive. The police have completed the interrogation of his two associates who were taken on remand.
For 7 days, 3 police teams were searching the main accused in the murder, Rajkaran. Rajkaran is a resident of Pantawas Kalan in Dadri district. Some people of the village say that the family itself asked Rajkaran to surrender and handed him over to the police themselves.
2 friends have been arrested
In the case, police had recovered the body og Jagdeep, a teacher who had been missing for three months.
The body was found buried in a seven-foot-deep pit near a religious site on Panchayati land in the village, based on the identification provided by two friends of the mastermind, Rajkaran, from Patawas Kalan.
The initial investigation revealed that the mastermind, Rajkaran, suspected that Jagdeep had an illicit relationship with his wife. When Rajkaran saw his wife’s photos on Jagdeep’s mobile phone, he, along with his friends, kidnapped Jagdeep from his mother-in-law’s house in Rohtak and later took him to the village, where they buried him in the pit.
Last Monday, the police recovered the body from Patawas Kalan in Dadri, but the main accused was still absconding.
