Gurugram: On May 25 voting will be held for the sixth phase of Lok Sabha General Elections 2024 in Gurugram, all 1333 polling stations in the district will be monitored with CCTV cameras. Critical polling stations will also be monitored with drones. Giving this information, District Election Officer Nishant Kumar Yadav said that the district administration is working very seriously regarding the sanctity of voting. In such a situation, CCTV cameras have been installed at all the polling stations in the district.
The District Election Officer said that a control room has been set up in the conference hall of the Mini Secretariat to monitor all these CCTV cameras. Where a dedicated team will monitor them on 45 screens on May 25 from 7 am to 6 pm. He said that cameras will be installed at 250 polling stations of Pataudi assembly constituency of Gurugram district, 261 of Sohna, 455 of Badshahpur and 367 of Gurgaon.
A special security plan has also been prepared for critical booths. Under which these booths will be monitored through CCTV as well as drones. He said that special monitoring will be done at these booths with the help of drones of the police department. The district administration is capable of dealing with any untoward situation during voting. All polling stations will be monitored with the help of CCTV cameras. Micro observers have also been appointed at all the polling stations, who will immediately provide information about the situation at the polling stations to the district headquarters.
