Sarpanch accuses of embezzling funds in Nuh

Sarpanch showed development work on papers in a fraudulent manner; complaint to DC-BDPO.

Nuh: In Mohammadpur Ted village of Pingawan block of Nuh district in Haryana, villagers have accused the Sarpanch of embezzling funds in the name of development works fraudulently. It is alleged that the Sarpanch showed many roads as constructed on paper under the MNREGA scheme and took payment in their name, while on the ground the roads are unpaved.

Apart from this, there is also an allegation of embezzling funds under other schemes, including Bharat in schools, Bharat in graveyards and boundary walls, and PRI. The villagers have complained about this to the BDPO and DC and demanded an investigation.

Jafir told in the complaint that in his village, Sarpanch Zaid has got all the work done on paper, while on the ground the village is waiting for development. It is alleged that the Sarpanch did a superficial job in cleaning the boundary wall of the graveyard, drains, lanes, and roads and took out the money in collusion.

The complainant claims that the Sarpanch has shown the road to be built from Siraj’s house to Hasan’s house under MNREGA, whereas the road is incomplete on the ground. Apart from this, the money was taken out from the Panchayat fund in collusion with the senior officer and the contractor by showing the roads to be built from Israel’s house to Razak’s house, from Sahabuddin’s house to Bhabbal’s shop, from Imran’s house to the canal, from PWD road to Ismail’s house, from Ismail’s house to Ismailli’s house.

In this regard, Sarpanch Zaid says that the allegations levelled against him are false; baseless allegations are being levelled against him due to rivalry over party politics.
