Rao Indrajit Singh gets restraint of triple ministries

Rao Indrajit Singh has been given two ministries in 2019.

Gurugram: MP Rao Indrajit Singh, who has been included in Narendra Modi’s cabinet for the third time in a row, was given the responsibility of three ministries on Monday. Rao Indrajit Singh has been given two ministries from before, while a new ministry has also been given.


This time Rao Indrajit has been given the responsibility of Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, Ministry of Planning and Ministry of Culture again. In the previous term, he was responsible for the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

After taking oath on Sunday, Rao Indrajit Singh said that under the able leadership of the Prime Minister, he will discharge the responsibilities related to the ministry with full devotion and honesty as before. Along with this, I will always remain determined and continuously work for the development, prosperity and happiness of my parliamentary constituency Gurgaon.


His father Rao Birendra Singh, who was ruling the Mahendragarh Lok Sabha, had made him the Lok Sabha candidate in his place in 1998. Rao had already become an MP by winning the election. He became a member of the 12th Lok Sabha of the country. From here began his journey to the country’s biggest panchayat. However, he had to face defeat in the very next election, i.e. in the 1999 election.

In the 2004 election, he avenged his defeat from his rivals. From 1998 to 99, Rao was also a member of the Parliament’s standing committee on science and technology, environment and forests. In 2004, he was again elected to the 14th Lok Sabha from Mahendragarh. In May 2004, he was made the Union Minister of State for External Affairs. He continued to discharge this responsibility till 2006. From February 2006 to 2009, Rao was the Union Minister of State for Defence Production.
