The tenders for 84 parks have been cancelled by the Nagar Parishad in Sirsa. After the cancellation of these tenders, the Nagar Parishad will now take care of them. For a long time, complaints were coming about the lack of maintenance and cleanliness of these parks.
Apart from this, the Nagar Parishad will also investigate these tenders to see how much money has been spent on the development of the parks and where did the rest of the money go. The fountains installed in the parks will be repaired.
According to the information, not only one but all the parks in Sirsa city are in bad condition. In many parks, the fountains do not work and neither are they cleaned nor is there a dustbin facility. In such a situation, people have stopped coming to the parks, let alone walking in them. They have become a cause of the problem for them too.
Chairman Veer Shanti Swaroop from Nagar Parishad Sirsa said that the tenders of all the parks given earlier have been cancelled. There are about 84 such parks. But there is a problem of cleanliness and other arrangements including fountains in the parks. There are a lot of complaints from people. Keeping this in mind, this precautionary step has been taken.
Chairman Veer Shanti Swaroop said that how much budget has been spent in the name of development in the parks and where. We will get it investigated. If the condition of the fountains installed in the parks is bad, then they will be repaired.
The condition of Devi Lal Park located on Barnala Road has also deteriorated. The pictures of this park are very viral on social media. There is a lot of dirt in the park and the gym or practice machines are also not working properly. A few days ago, a local resident had also complained about the bad condition of this park and instructed to put the problem before the chairman.
