Sirsa: In Haryana’s Sirsa, the team of the Anti-Narcotics Cell has arrested a car rider from the Khairekan village area with 200 grams of heroin worth lakhs of rupees.
An FIR has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act at Sadar police station, Sirsa. The police say that the accused will be produced in court and a remand will be obtained.
According to the information, the team of Anti-Narcotics Cell Sirsa was patrolling on Saturday under the leadership of in-charge SI Ajay Kumar.
During this, the police started checking vehicles near Khairekan village.
Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan says that the police stopped a car. On searching, 200 grams of heroin were recovered from the car. After this, the police took the car driver into custody. It is being told that the smuggler caught was going to smuggle heroin.
The Superintendent of Police says that upon interrogation, the accused youth was identified as Ravi, son of Satnam Singh, a resident of Govind Nagar Sirsa. After this, the police arrested the accused. A case has been registered against the accused, Ravi, under the NDPS Act. The SP says that the youth will be produced in court and a remand will be obtained.
During the remand period, the accused youth will be interrogated, information about other people involved in heroin smuggling will be obtained, and legal action will be taken against them as well.
