Gurugram: Due to the nexus between officials and the land mafia in Gurugram, the land mafia is openly carrying out unauthorized construction works.
Despite complaints of unauthorized construction in the Saraswati Kunj area, the DTP enforcement department has not taken any action. This inaction has led to questions being raised about their functioning. Residents have been continuously sending videos of unauthorized construction to officials through social media, emphasizing that this construction is illegal.
Land Mafia people are active in these days on Saraswati Kunj Khatu Shyam Mandir Road behind Parshvanath Exotica Apartment. Local people are openly accusing unauthorized construction work here. A multi-story building was recently demolished by the enforcement team. However, questions are being raised about why the officials did not take action against this unauthorized construction. Upon inspection, the enforcement team discovered that there was a stay order from the High Court regarding the demolition.
The question arises that if construction is being done illegally, then it should be stopped by taking action in the initial stage itself. However, this happens rarely. When the building is built, the team reaches there and takes action. By then the land smugglers fill their pockets and leave, and the person concerned has to bear the brunt of it. This is the reason that today lakhs of buildings have been built in the 900-meter area of the Ordnance Depot. Due to this, people allege that the officers play with the land smugglers, and later the common people are forced to bear the loss.
DTP Manish Yadav said that after demolishing the unauthorized construction, we make people aware that they should not build a house in an unauthorized place. Before buying land or a house or before constructing it, confirm in the government office whether it is illegal or not.
Manish Yadav said that as far as Saraswati Kunj is concerned, our team has been informed about the stay order of the High Court. We will take legal advice for this and will soon conduct a hearing, check the documents of the other party, and present our side.
