There will be no change in the security of dignitaries in Haryana. Haryana Security Assessment Committee has sent the security review report to the state government. On the basis of this report, the government makes a decision to reduce or increase the security of any VVIP.
In April 2025, the Security Assessment Committee reviewed the security of leaders and officials. According to this, Z Plus category security of Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, and Union Minister Manohar Lal has been retained. Manohar Lal had Z Plus category security even when he was the CM of Haryana.
Z Plus security is considered to be the highest category of security in India. In this, 55 soldiers, including more than 10 NSG commandos and policemen, are deployed. All these commandos keep a close watch on the person 24 hours a day.
Z category security of Vij, Biplab and Judge Jagdeep. The Z category security given to Anil Vij while he was the Home Minister in Haryana will remain intact. BJP Haryana’s former state in-charge and former Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb and the then CBI judge Jagdeep Singh, who pronounced the verdict in Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s case, will have Z category security.
This is a little different from Z Plus. In this, 22 jawans including six commandos and police personnel, are deployed around the person concerned.
Union Ministers Rao Indrajit and Krishan Pal Gurjar, former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda, Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Surjewala, former MP Kuldeep Bishnoi, former DGP BS Sandhu, Additional District Judge Sushil Kumar Garg, former NIA DG VEC Modi and former CID chief Anil Rao have been given Y category security. Y category security provides security cover of 8 jawans including 1 or 2 commandos and policemen.
X category security for Selja and Trikha
Former minister and Rajya Sabha MP Kumari Selja, former minister Seema Trikha, former CM Bhajan Lal’s wife Jasma Devi, former MLA Rajendra Singh June, former President Pranab Mukherjee’s son Indrajit Mukherjee, former Chhattisgarh Governor Shekhar Dutt, former NIA chief Sharad Kumar, former DGP OP Sharma, Haryana Gurudwara Managing Committee General Secretary Ramnik Mann, former Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission Chairman Ranjit Panchnanda, former MP Rajkumar Saini and Bahadurgarh Municipal Council Chairman Saroj Rathi have been given X category security. 2 armed police personnel are deployed in this category.
