The problems of farmer leader Navdeep Jalbera are not decreasing. On Thursday, the police officers of Sadar police station presented him in the court after getting him medically examined, where the police in some other case sought Navdeep’s remand in the court.
After the hearing, the court granted a one-day remand of Navdeep to the police. This remand was sought in case number 43. Police gave reason for remand was to identify the farmer leader Tejbir and other farmer leaders through Navdeep.
In fact, on June 11, a petition for bail of Navdeep was filed in the court by Navdeep’s lawyer Rohit Jain. The very next day, on June 12, an application was given by the police to the local magistrate in which two-day remand of Navdeep was sought.
This remand was sought on the basis of FIR number 43. Its hearing took place in the ADJ court on Thursday. Advocate Rohit Jain said that the police argued in the court that they want to arrest other farmer leaders in case number 43. They can be arrested only when Navdeep identifies himself. For this, his remand is required because he has to be taken to Punjab for identification. On this, the court granted one day remand.
Advocate Rohit Jain said that the police have registered 16 cases in this matter. Navdeep’s name is mentioned in all of them. The only purpose of the police behind taking remand before the bail petition is that they do not want to let Navdeep come out.
