No shortage of DAP in Haryana, farmers will get fertilizer on time: CM Nayab Saini

As of today, the availability of DAP in the state is 24000 metric tonnes and rake planning has been done for the daily supply of DAP to the farmers.

Chandigarh: Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday reviewed the availability of DAP fertilizer with senior officials of the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department. After the meeting, CM Saini informed that there is no shortage of DAP fertilizer in the state and all the farmers will get fertilizer on time.

Last year, in the Rabi season, the total consumption of DAP in October 2023 was 1,19,470 metric tonnes (MT), while in October 2024 the consumption was 1,14,000 metric tonnes. As of today, the availability of DAP in the state is 24000 metric tonnes and rake planning has been done for the daily supply of DAP to the farmers.

He informed that during the 2023 Rabi season, a total of 72697 metric tonnes were consumed in November. As a result of the efforts of the state government, the Center has allocated 1,10,000 metric tonnes of DAP fertilizer for the month of November, out of which 41,600 metric tonnes have been planned on rake movement for the first week of November and 40,000 metric tonnes for the second week and it will be reduced to 20,000 metric tonnes in the third week of November 2024.

Giving information about this, the government spokesperson said that the rack plan for DAP has been prepared. Bhiwani, Dadri, Rohtak, Mahendragarh, Karnal, Panipat, Kurukshetra and Jind will get racks on November 3. Similarly, Hisar, Fatehabad, Kurukshetra, Jhajjar, Sonipat and Rohtak will get racks on November 4, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Karnal, Hisar, Sirsa and Jind on November 5, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Panchkula and Yamunanagar on November 6 and Palwal, Nuh, Faridabad and Gurugram on November 7. The government assured that all the districts are being covered.
