Nuh Police action against drug smuggling network, recovered over 500 kg of Cannabis leaves from canter

On checking, a total of 596.200 kg of ganja was recovered in 20 plastic bags whose value was estimated at Rs 89 lakh 43 thousand.

Nuh: Haryana Police, in a tough crackdown on drug smugglers, seized a Tata Canter involved in drug smuggling from near village Gulalata on Sikrawa Road in Nuh district. After searching the canter, 596 kg 200 grams of Cannabis (ganja) was recovered from it. Let us tell you that its market value is estimated to be around Rs 89 lakh 43 thousand.

 Inspector Sandeep, in-charge of Crime Investigation Branch, Punhana, while giving information said that on March 20, 2024, secret information was received that on the night of 16th and 17th March 2024, the Tata Canter number MH12HD-1791 has left with huge amount of intoxicating substance, Ganja. Police seized the canter near village Gulalta on Sikrawa Road.

Ganja leaves were kept hidden in the window which opens over the roof of the canter. On checking, a total of 596.200 kg of ganja was recovered in 20 plastic bags whose value was estimated at Rs 89 lakh 43 thousand.

 In this regard, Crime Branch Punhana Police has started further action by registering a case against the above canter owner and others under various sections of the NDPS Act at Punhana police station. The accused involved in the case will be arrested soon. Haryana Director General of Police has congratulated the team of Crime Investigation Branch Punhana for recovering this huge amount of drugs.
