Haryana: DGP alert, Probe initiates into Multiple Property Holdings

It has also been instructed that those officers should be given notice to vacate the house immediately.

Chandigarh: The office of Director General of Police (DGP) has become alert on the complaint of IG Puran Kumar in Haryana. On the instructions of DGP Shatrujeet Kapoor, instructions have been sent to the heads of all police units of Haryana. It has been said that the list of gazetted officers who have been transferred from their district or unit to units of other districts, but have still not vacated the government accommodation, should be sent.

Along with this, it has also been instructed that those officers should be given notice to vacate the house immediately. Along with this, panel rent should be deducted from their salary. After this, its detailed information should be sent to the DGP office.

Recently, IG Puran Kumar has complained about those IPS officers who have more than one government accommodation, referring to the One Officer One House Policy. Some are posted in the field and some are giving wrong information.

Among these, there are names of 9 IPS officers, who have occupied more than one government accommodation. These include ADGP Law and Order Mamta Singh along with senior IPS Saurabh Singh, Rakesh Arya, Satish Balan, Himanshu Garg, Raj Kumar, AK Mittal and two more names.

Haryana IG level officer Puran Kumar had also complained to Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini 7 days ago regarding the matter of taking more than one residence against the rules in the police department. The IPS officer had mentioned the names of IPS officers in the complaint and also claimed to have evidence.

Earlier, the IG had also complained about this matter to DGP Shatrujit Kapoor and Home Department Secretary TVSN Prasad, but due to no action being taken, he had now sent a complaint to the Chief Minister.
