The young man jumps from fourth floor of court in Panipat, dies

The young man freed himself from the police personnel and ran away.

Haryana: On Friday, a young man jumped from the fourth floor of the district court in Panipat, Haryana. He died on the spot as soon as he fell. The young man was accused in a robbery and Arms Act case. The police had brought him to the court to present him in the court.

There was no way in which he ran. He fell straight down from the fourth floor through the back door.

After this, the police immediately took him to the civil hospital. Where the doctors declared him dead. The Panchnama of the body has been filled and kept in the mortuary. The deceased has been identified as Saurav (30), a resident of Saudapur village.

In a complaint given to Sector 29 police station on 8 November 2021, Pappu had told that he is originally from Samastipur district of Bihar. Recently he lives in Daniram Colony, village Siwah, Panipat. He has been working as a laborer at the railway station with his relative Ramnath Chaudhary for 2 days. On the night of November 7, at around 11 pm, both of them boarded an auto from GT Road outside the railway station to come to the room after working.

At that time, there were a total of 4 people in the auto including the driver. As soon as they came near Siwah village, 2 boys sitting behind threw my relative Ramnath Chaudhary out of the moving auto. After this, when he shouted to stop the auto, the driver increased the speed of the auto. After this, the accused stabbed him. While beating him, they robbed him of Rs 5 thousand and his mobile. After this, they also threw him out of the moving auto and fled.

Accused Saurav was absconding since the incident. He was also declared a fugitive by the court some time ago. The police had raided every possible hideout in search of him, but he was not caught. On Thursday (30 May 2024) night, the police arrested Saurav for the first time on the basis of secret information.

On Friday, the police produced him in the court of Justice RK Mehta. From where the court sent him to jail in judicial custody. After this, the court staff ordered the police to take the accused outside the court room and sit there while they were preparing his custody papers. While the police were taking him outside, he freed himself from their hands and ran away and fell down.
