Haryana: On Sunday night a tiger was seen near the Mata Chilla Devi temple in Mahendragarh, Haryana. When the temple priest informed the people about this, panic spread in the entire area. People informed the Wildlife Welfare Board about this, but no one has reached out till now. The movement of the tiger has been captured in the CCTV installed in the temple.
According to the information, there are Aravalli hills in the village Khudana of Mahendragarh. Wild animals like fox, deer, rabbit, etc. live in these hills, but tiger, lion or cheetah have never been seen in these hills.
About 55-60 years ago a cheetah was seen in the hill, which was caught by the administration.
Ashok, the priest of Mata Chilla Devi temple located on the hill of village Khudana, has informed the villagers about this.
Former Sarpanch of village Khudana, Narendra Kumar told that priest Ashok lives in the temple of Mata. The priest has raised ducks there. In the morning, when the priest found a duck missing, he checked the CCTV.
He was surprised to see the incident of the night. The tiger was seen in the CCTV footage. He informed the Sarpanch about it. Then the villagers came to know. This created an atmosphere of fear in the entire village.
The former Sarpanch told that when he was 15 years old, a cheetah was caught from this hill. After that, no tiger etc. was ever seen in these hills.
He told that he had informed the Wildlife Welfare Board about this, which has not yet arrived. He demanded the administration to catch the tiger.
Manjeet and Rupendra, residents of Khudana village, told that this morning a message from the temple priest Ashok came in the village’s WhatsApp group. He informed about seeing a tiger. The tiger is clearly visible in the CCTV. He also took away the duck. Now no villager is going towards the hill.
