Ambala, May 9: After the Pakistani attacks in Punjab and Chandigarh, an air attack alert has been issued in Ambala, Haryana. Sirens are sounding continuously here. People have been asked to go inside their homes from the rooftops.
Apart from the Army Cantonment, Ambala also has an Air Force Station. This is the first time that an air attack alert has been issued in Ambala. Apart from this, in view of the air attack in Chandigarh, sirens were sounded in Panchkula in the morning. The entire administration here is on high alert. Orders have been issued to keep schools closed for 2 days in Panchkula.
Apart from this, security has been beefed up in Sirsa, Fatehabad, Kaithal, Jind, Kurukshetra and Ambala along the Punjab border. Leaves of doctors, health department, fire brigade and police officials and employees have been cancelled.
All officers and employees have been banned from leaving the headquarters. 25% of beds have been kept reserved in government and private hospitals to deal with emergency situations.
Apart from this, to give information about emergency, it has been asked to install sirens in all 7500 villages of the state within 48 hours.

Nuh police also issued advisory for citizens
Nuh Police has issued an advisory for the general public in view of the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan. The Superintendent of Police appealed to the general public to be cautious and not panic. Be extremely vigilant and cautious during air strikes and rumours. Follow the following guidelines in case of emergency.
1. Saving lives is the priority -Identify the safest room in the house (one with no windows). If you are outside, lie down in a nearby sturdy structure or low place. – Don’t run out to make instant recording or video.
2. Keep an emergency kit ready – Identity card, essential medicines, water, dry food, mobile charger, flashlight – Keep the kit in a bag which can be picked up and taken out quickly.
3. Avoid rumors, trust only official information – Get updates only from trusted sources like government apps (NDMA), AIR, and DD News. – Verify news spread on WhatsApp, Twitter or Facebook.
