Palwal: Two youths raped a 10-year-old girl in Palwal, Haryana. The youths had called the girl to their house on the pretext of getting a cold drink. She was threatened that if she told anyone at home about the rape, her family members would kill her. On the complaint of the girl’s mother, the Chandhat police station has registered a case against two named accused and started an investigation. Both the accused are still absconding.
According to Chandhat police station in-charge Sundarpal, a woman living in a village in the police station area has said in her complaint that her 10-year-old daughter had gone out of the house for some work. During that time, two youths named Vishnu and Dabbu called her daughter. They asked her to bring a cold drink from the shop. After this, her daughter went to their house with them. It is alleged that the two youths raped her.
The girl’s mother said that after raping her, the accused threatened her that if she told anyone at home about this, her family members would kill her. The girl got scared and did not tell anything to anyone at home. When the said youths called the girl again, she did not go. On this, they threatened that if she did not obey them, they would tell everyone at home. Out of fear, her daughter came home and started crying.
The woman said that when she asked her daughter the reason for crying, the girl told her the whole incident. After this, her mother took the girl to the police and gave a written complaint. The police have registered a case against both the youths under various sections including rape. The police is investigating.
