Panipat: The body of Bodhu, the third youth from Rajasthan, who drowned while bathing in the Sanauli Yamuna river in Panipat district, has been found. Let us tell you that three devotees drowned on Sunday in the river. Two of their bodies were recovered on Monday, two days ago.
At the same time, the police and divers have also heaved a sigh of relief after the body of the third youth was found late night on the third day.
Three youths drowned while bathing
On Sunday, Mahesh, a resident of Khatushyam village of Sikar district of Rajasthan, his brother Bodhu alias Jitendra and Lokesh along with their five other companions had come to bathe in the Yamuna at Sanauli Ghat. During this, all three drowned in deep water at the turn in the middle of Yamuna towards Haryana near the Yamuna bridge. All three used to work as tiles and stones by renting a house in Risalu village of Panipat district.
On Monday, divers recovered the bodies of Mahesh and Lokesh from the Yamuna bank in front of Nanheda village, about 3 km from the Yamuna bridge. After conducting a post-mortem of both the bodies, the police handed them over to the family members. On Tuesday also, divers kept searching in the Yamuna river throughout the day in search of the third youth Bodhu alias Jitendra. The third youth was found inside the Yamuna at 9 pm.
Sanauli police station SHO Sandeep Kumar and SDM Swapnil Kumar Yadav Kairana say that divers conducted a search operation in the Yamuna river. In which the bodies of two out of the three drowned in the Yamuna were found the next day and handed over to the family members. The body of the remaining youth was also found late at night on the third day.
