Panipat: Case filed against 4 farmers for burning crop residue

Panipat: Some cases of burning of crop residue were recorded in Panipat district of Haryana. Farmers are burning the residue of crops in their fields. The farmer said that we are forced to take this step to prepare land for the next crop. Farmers also added that the government is not able to take any concrete steps in this direction to solve the problem of stubble burning.

Farmer Vikas said that it had been many days since his crop was harvested. He tried repeatedly to collect the residue of his crop and take it out of the field with the facility being provided by the government, but since his field was drying up, he was forced to burn the residue. He said that the farmer does not have enough space to collect this residue and keep it somewhere.

Agriculture Development Officer today registered an FIR against three farmers. Apart from this,  farmers were also fined was fined by challan.
