Panipat: Illegal liquor recovered from car, over 180 bottles of found

A large quantity of illegal liquor has been recovered from a Tiago car in Panipat. The Israna police station had put up a blockade in Shahpur village. The car was searched on suspicion. This action is part of the special campaign being run by the government against drug smugglers. The police stopped the Tiago car.

A large quantity of illegal liquor has been recovered from a Tiago car in Panipat. The Israna police station had put up a blockade in Shahpur village. The car was searched on suspicion. This action is part of the special campaign being run by the government against drug smugglers.

The police stopped the Tiago car (number HR 06 BC 4853) coming from Gohana. The two people in the car were identified as Sangram Singh (resident of Siwah village in Panipat) and Sanjay (resident of Sonipat). 103 bottles of English liquor, 24 half bottles and 60 beer bottles were found in the search of the car.

When the police asked for the permit and license to carry such a large quantity of liquor, both could not produce any documents. The police contacted the higher officials and took both of them into custody. On the spot, one bottle of each brand was sealed for sample, which was handed over to constable Sandeep.

In this action taken by Constable Rajesh Kumar and Rahul of Israna police station, a case has been registered against both the accused under the Excise Act.
