Panipat: The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has ordered major action against two big builders of Panipat district of Haryana. Actually, NGT had imposed a big fine on the builders of Ansal Sushant City located in Sector 13-17 of Huda in the city and TDI City located in Faridpur near Toll Plaza. Ansal was fined Rs 3.44 crore, while TDI was fined Rs 5.47 crore.
Out of these, Ansal paid only Rs 5 lakh. While TDI ignored the orders of NGT. TDI did not pay any fine. Due to which now DC Panipat has started action against both the builders under the Land Revenue Act through the Tehsildar. Now the land of these builders will be confiscated and the fine amount will be recovered.
Action has been taken against both the builders on the basis of the investigation done on the complaint of environment-loving social worker Varun Gulati and his report. Let us tell you that the investigation committee included Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Haryana State Pollution Control (HSPCB), ADC of the district, RO and AEO of HSVP.
Who found many flaws of both the builders and imposed heavy fines. The joint team had investigated land and water pollution from both the places. There is no complete sewerage facility for drainage of water at both the places. Water is being disposed of through illegal means at both the places.
