The commission had filed an appeal against the decision of the single bench. The single bench, accepting the petition of petitioner Pramila, had challenged the decision of the commission not to shortlist in the unreserved category for the subject knowledge test after the screening test in the recruitment of PGT Mathematics posts. Petitioner Pramila had said that the candidates who have been shortlisted for subject knowledge in the unreserved category have low marks, while Pramila has more marks.
On January 8, 2024, a division bench of High Court Justice Tribhuvan Dahiya accepted the petition and quashed the screening test result held on October 6, 2023. The bench had directed the HPSC to revise the screening test result and proceed with the process of selection for the advertised posts in accordance with the law without classifying the candidates till the final merit list is prepared.
