Police sets up blockade in Narnaund; Over Rs 10 lakh recovered from Car

Narnaund: Ahead of Haryana assembly elections, the police’s Static Surveillance Team (SST) is checking vehicles by blocking various places in the Narnaund area. People with large sum of cash having no appropriate justification are arrested by the police. Narnaund: Ahead of Haryana assembly elections, the police’s Static Surveillance Team (SST) is checking vehicles by blocking various places in the Narnaund area. People with large sum of cash having no appropriate justification are arrested by the police.

SD Sandeep Kumar of the Irrigation Department, in charge of Static Surveillance Team Narnaund, was checking vehicles by blocking the road near the petrol pump on Jind-Hansi road on Wednesday. Meanwhile, an i-i20 car with Bhiwani number came in and there were two people in the car. Rs 10 lakh 35 thousand 520 were recovered from a bag kept in the car.

When the team questioned the people in the car about the money, they said that they worked in hatchery and they were bringing this payment for the goods sold in Jind. But they could not produce any documents or proof about the money recovered from the car. This money will be deposited in Hansi Treasury by the team. The team has informed the Income Tax Department for further action.

Static Surveillance Team Incharge Sandeep Kumar said that Rs 10 lakh 35 thousand have been recovered. The said person said that he has a poultry farm and he has to make payment for the goods of the poultry farm with this money. At present, this matter has been sent to the Income Tax Department. Further action will be taken by the Income Tax Department.
