Sonipat : The weather suddenly changed in the district at around 9.30 pm on Friday night. It started drizzling with a dust storm moving at a speed of about 30 kilometers per hour.
Due to the dust storm, boards and hoardings of shops were blown away. There was power outage at many places due to fallen tree branches and lightning.
There have been complaints of trees breaking and falling on electric wires and electric poles breaking at many places due to the storm that hit on Friday night. Due to which the electricity system has been disrupted at many places.
Sky will remain cloudy on Saturday also
According to weather experts, the sky will remain cloudy on Saturday also and there are chances of rain on Sunday. The weather in the district was clear and sunny on Friday morning.
Light clouds started appearing in the sky in the afternoon. It started drizzling with a dust storm at 9.30 pm. This has provided some relief to the people who have been suffering from the heat for many days.
Fall in Temperature
On Friday, the district recorded a maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius. The temperature has also dropped after the drizzle. The problems of commission agents have increased due to change in weather.
Two-wheeler drivers plying on the roads amid the storm had to face a lot of trouble. There have also been reports of breakage of trees at many places in urban and rural areas. Due to which the electricity system was disrupted. People had to face problems due to lack of electricity at night.
