Preparations for the Bar Association elections in Haryana’s Rohtak district are in the final stage. The administration and the election officer have completed preparations for the elections to be held on February 28. The voter list is also being finalized.
Election officer of the Bar Association elections, Advocate Pradeep Malik, said that the elections will be conducted with complete transparency. Cooperation has been taken from the administration. Police force will also be deployed. No one will be allowed to obstruct the elections and do fake voting.
There is confusion among the lawyers about whether the Bar Association elections will be held with ballot paper or EVM. Earlier, the RO was saying that the elections will be conducted with EVMs. Later, the administration refused to give EVMs in view of the civic elections. Now it is being said that EVMs will be available again.
Tomorrow will be the last day to campaign for the Bar Association elections. Two candidates have claimed the post of Pradhan, in which there is a direct contest between the current Pradhan Arvind Sheoran and General Secretary Deepak Hooda. Pradhan Arvind Sheoran has the support of Lokendra Phogat, who has been Pradhan for 8 times, while Deepak Hooda is contesting the election with the support of the opposition party.
