Rohtak: On Monday, 30 September, the Election Commission approved the parole of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim amidst the Haryana assembly elections. However, the commission has imposed 3 conditions. Ram Rahim will come out of Rohtak’s Sunaria jail today, i.e on 1 October at 11 am. Earlier, he returned back to jail on September 2nd and applied for another emergency parole later.
Haryana State Election Commission granted 20-day conditions-applied parole to Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Ram Rahim. The first condition is that he will not stay or come in Haryana after coming out of jail. The second condition is that he will not participate in any political activity. Third condition posed is that Ram Rahim will not campaign in any way on social media.
Election Commission sources said that the Haryana government has been told to cancel parole immediately if any violation is found by Ram Rahim.
Voting will be held in Haryana on October 5. The result will come on October 8. For this reason, Ram Rahim’s parole is being linked to the elections. It has an impact on 36 seats in Haryana.
Ram Rahim is serving a sentence in Rohtak jail in a sexual abuse and murder case. During parole, Ram Rahim will stay in Barnawa Ashram in Bagpat, Uttar Pradesh.
