Sirsa: The High Court has acquitted the Dera chief in the murder case of Haryana’s Dera Sacha Sauda manager Ranjit Singh. Ranjit Singh’s family is disappointed with this decision. The family says that they will continue the legal battle.
They said they will challenge this decision in the Supreme Court. For this, advice is being taken from lawyers. Will soon start action under the legal process for this.
After the acquittal of the Dera chief, the pain of son Jagseer Singh has come to the fore. Jagseer Singh said that there is delay in God’s house but no injustice. He has full faith in the judiciary. He will go to the Supreme Court and challenge the High Court’s decision. Will take the next steps soon. Jagseer said that right now he does not want to speak much in this matter.
At the same time, Ranjit’s brother-in-law Prabhu Dayal said that we will continue our fight till death. The court’s decision has not come as per our wish. The CBI had given us complete justice, but now the decision of the Punjab and Haryana High Court is against our wishes.
Ranjit’s family fought the case for 19 years
In 2021, when the CBI special court sentenced five convicts including Ram Rahim, Ranjit Singh’s family became emotional. Ranjit Singh’s family fought the case for 19 years and did not even celebrate Diwali.
After the Dera chief was sentenced, Ranjit’s son Jagseer had said that now our family will celebrate Diwali. He had said that I was seven years old when father Ranjit Singh was murdered. Grandfather had started a struggle to get the killers punished. Grandfather also died in 2016.
Jagseer told that even today he gets goosebumps on hearing the sound of bullets and remembering his father’s riddled face.
Jagseer told how his father was murdered
Jagseer told that on 10th July 2002 he reached home after tuition. Mother told him that father has gone to the field. After this I got engrossed in playing. After some time, I got the information that someone was shot dead in the village. Mother and other family members ran towards the field after getting the information.
I got very upset with this and started walking towards the field. When I reached near the field, I saw that a crowd had gathered and mother was crying. Grandfather Joginder Singh was standing with me worriedly and was consoling my mother. After a long time, when I moved the crowd aside and looked there, I was shocked to see the scene. I saw father’s face riddled with bullets. I was not even able to recognize that this was my father.
