Hisar: Rape FIR has been registered against All India Bishnoi Mahasabha’s national president Devendra Buria in Adampur, Hisar. The girl from Haryana alleged that Buria first lured her by promising to send her abroad.
He called her to a five star hotel in Chandigarh and a flat in Jaipur and raped her several times. When she opposed, he threatened to kill her.
When she got fed up with Buria, she told her family about it. After her complaint, the police have registered a case against Devendra Buria, a resident of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, under sections 376, 354 and 506 of IPC.
The timing of this case is also being linked to the ongoing dispute in the Bishnoi Mahasabha. There was a dispute going on in the Mahasabha between President Buria and former CM Chaudhary Bhajanlal’s son and BJP leader Kuldeep Bishnoi.
Kuldeep has also left the post of patron. The Adampur police station where the FIR was registered is the stronghold of Kuldeep Bishnoi family.
In a complaint to the Adampur police, the girl has told that in 2022 I told my family that I want to go abroad. In 2023, my father took me to Adampur to meet Devendra Buria, President of the All India Bishnoi Mahasabha. There he asked for help to send me abroad.
Buria assured us that he fully supports the Bishnoi community. He will also help in sending the girl abroad. After this, Buria said that he will send me to Australia, but will get a course done for him in Chandigarh and will arrange all the expenses on behalf of the society.
The girl told- After that Devendra lured me from Adampur and took me to Hotel Hyatt in Chandigarh. Where he raped me in February 2024. He threatened to kill me and my family if I tell anyone about this. He also made a video of me. Buria threatened that if I tell anyone, he will also put me in jail in a prostitution case. After this I got scared. He got intoxicated and started raping me.
The girl told the police- The next day I came to my PG. Buria got me admitted in an academy located in Sector-34, Chandigarh. Then I started doing the course, but I got only 5 bands in IELTS. Whereas, 6 bands were required to go to Australia.
After this I came to Adampur. During this time Devendra Buria started chatting with me on WhatsApp. Then he asked my father to send me to Jaipur. His (Devendra Buria) relative has an institute there. He will get me enrolled in the course there.
After that in June 2024, Devendra called me from Adampur to Jaipur and got me a PG in Khatipura. He also got me admitted there. One day in August 2024, Buria’s PA Gaurav came to me. I told Gaurav that I want to talk to Buria, please arrange a meeting with him. He brought me to Buria’s flat in Civil Lines, Jaipur. Devendra was alone there. Devendra raped me there too.
The girl told the police that Buria used to tell her that he knew Salman Khan well. If I stayed with him, he would make me a star one day. In September 2024, he raped me again in his flat in Jaipur. I was very scared, so I did not tell anyone about this.
By November 2024, when nothing happened about me going abroad, I returned to my village. During this time, Buria kept harassing me by calling me repeatedly and kept threatening me. Finally, I told Buria that I will not talk to anyone now. If you harass me, I will tell everyone. Then he said that I will kill you and your family. After this, I told everything to the family.
