Under this policy, departments will be divided into large and small units. Apart from this, a maximum of 80 marks will be given in case of age, special categories (widow, divorced, unmarried) and disability.

Earlier, nursing officers were transferred on the basis of departmental demands, which caused problems. UHS Vice Chancellor Dr. HK Agarwal said that now an annual transfer campaign will be run. In which nursing staff will be able to get posting in their favorite departments for the next year. These preferences will be considered based on merit. This policy will provide relief to around 1,400 nursing officers in PGIMS.

Officials said that this policy will be implemented from next month, which will ensure transparency in transfers and give nurses experience of different departments. According to the policy, normal transfers will be annual, although postings can be done anytime in case of promotion, recruitment or patient care requirements.
