Gau Raksha Dal member dies in hospital following Rewari clash injuries

Shot in an encounter with cow smugglers, died during treatment. 

Rewari: In Rewari, a district of Haryana a Gau Raksha Dal member (Sonu) from Fidedi village, died during treatment. On June 15, there was an encounter between cow smugglers and Gau Raksha Dal members in Sheikhpur village located on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in the Ferozepur Jhirka police station area. Sonu was shot during the encounter. After which the injured Sonu was undergoing treatment in the hospital. He was admitted to Medicity Hospital in Gurgaon for the last one and a half months. Sonu died during treatment late at night. The post-mortem of the body will be done today.

According to the information received, Sonu, a resident of Fidedi village in Rewari district, was a member of Gau Raksha Dal for the last two years. And Sonu has a showroom of car tyres in the Rewari district. The deceased Sonu has a younger son and an elder daughter. Sonu had two brothers with his parents. Hearing the news of Sonu’s death, the family members are crying inconsolably. As soon as the information about the incident was received, all the members of Gau Raksha Dal reached Gurugram. On June 15, the Gau Raksha team received information that a Bolero pickup was coming from Jaipur to Delhi on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. In which cows are being smuggled. The information was given to the Gau Raksha staff. According to this, the Gau Raksha reached a road stop on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway with the police staff.

Where the pickup coming from Rajasthan was signalled to stop, but the cow smugglers riding in the Bolero pickup opened fire on it. After firing, they fled. The members of the Gau Raksha Dal immediately admitted him to the hospital. The police had also registered a case in the matter, and the injured youth was undergoing treatment at Medicity Hospital in Gurugram. But after a long struggle, he could not survive and died late at night. In this case, the police had arrested a cow smuggler. 3 cows were freed and sent to the Gaushala.
