Rewari police arrested 2 accused with illegal weapons

Police have registered a case against the accused under the Arms Act in Rewari City Police Station and arrested both the accused.

Rewari: Rewari city police station has arrested two accused in the case of illegal possession of arms. The arrested accused have been identified as Indrajit alias Churi, resident of village Dhaliwas, and Shiv alias Shiva, resident of Mohalla Banjarwada Rewari.

The investigator said that on 15th December, the police had received information that Indrajit alias Churi, a resident of village Dhaliwas and Shiv alias Shiva, a resident of Mohalla Banjarwada Rewari, who are criminal type boys, had illegal arms. They are currently sitting near Kaka Bakery Railway Road Rewari waiting for someone.

On this information, a raiding party was immediately prepared and after reaching the mentioned place, with the help of fellow officials, the accused were caught when asked their name and address, they told their names as Indrajit alias Churi, a resident of village Dhaliwas and Shiv alias Shiva, resident of Mohalla Banjarwada Rewari.

When the police searched the accused, one illegal country-made pistol, one illegal country-made pistol, and two live rounds were recovered from their possession. Police have registered a case against the accused under the Arms Act in Rewari City Police Station and arrested both the accused.

Police have produced the accused in court and taken them on one-day police remand for interrogation. Investigator said that 17 cases of Arms Act, snatching, theft, and assault are already registered against accused Indrajit alias Churi in Rewari City Police Station, Model Town, and Dharuhera. Similarly, 4 cases of Arms Act, snatching, theft, and assault are registered against accused Shiv alias Shiva in Rewari City Police Station, Model Town, and Dharuhera.
