Rohtak District Bar Election: 2576 lawyers will vote for the four remaining posts on March 17

In the District Bar Association elections, 2576 lawyers will cast their votes for the remaining four posts of Deputy President, General Secretary, Joint Secretary and Library Incharge on March 17. With the permission of the Bar Council, 288 more votes have been added to the voter list. Deepak Hooda has already been declared elected as the President. Because the other candidate Arvind Sheoran was declared ineligible after the action of the Bar Council. Meanwhile, the hearing of the election case pending in the court has been scheduled for March 18.

The District Bar Association election was to be held on February 28, but after the decision of the Civil Court, the Bar Council postponed the election till further orders. Meanwhile, the disciplinary committee of the Bar Council suspended the license of the President candidate Arvind Sheoran in the work suspension case.

After this, the four-member election committee sought a reply from Sheoran. Also, not accepting a satisfactory answer, the committee declared Arvind ineligible to contest the election. Also, the only remaining candidate for the post of President, Deepak Hooda, was declared elected as the President. Meanwhile, advocate Surendra Laura filed a petition in the High Court demanding elections. After the High Court order, the Bar Council has issued a letter to hold elections for the remaining four posts of Deputy Chief, General Secretary, Joint Secretary and Library Incharge on March 17, for which preparations have been done.

According to the officer, elections will be held for the posts of Deputy Chief, General Secretary, Joint Secretary and Library Incharge on March 17. Preparations for the elections have been made. Letters have been sent to the Bar Council, DC and SP. With the permission of the Bar Council, 2576 voters have been included in the voter list.
