Deepak and Divya, the main accused in the Magan suicide case in Dobh village of Rohtak district, have got a big setback from the court. On Wednesday, the Rohtak court rejected the anticipatory bail plea of both of them. Now the police will arrest both of them and interrogate them and speed up further investigation in the case. Magan alias Ajay Suhag committed suicide by hanging himself in his village, Dobh, on June 18, 2025.
Before committing suicide, Magan had posted two videos on social media, in which he made serious allegations against his wife Divya and her alleged lover Deepak. Magan had claimed that both of them were pressuring him to kill his father and buy a flat in Mumbai by selling ancestral land. Also, Rs 5 lakh was being demanded for Deepak’s alleged promotion. Magan also told that Divya sent him obscene videos with her lover Deepak, due to which he broke down mentally. During the hearing in the court on Wednesday, the anticipatory bail plea of Deepak and Divya was considered.
The prosecution argued that both of them are facing serious charges of abetting Magan to suicide, and there is sufficient evidence against them. Magan’s mobile phone has been sent for forensic examination, in which obscene videos and other evidence are likely to be found. Keeping these facts in mind, the court rejected the bail plea of both.
Magan’s father, Ranveer Singh, welcomed the court’s decision and said that my son should get justice. Those who tortured him so much that he gave up his life should get the harshest punishment.” Ranveer has demanded the police to arrest the accused as soon as possible. According to police sources, a team of Rohtak police has already reached Mumbai, where the location of Deepak and Divya was reported. The police will now arrest the accused and take them on remand, so that Magan’s mobile and money can be recovered from them.
