Rohtak: Woman working in DC office duped of Rs 3 lakh

Rohtak: A woman from DC office of Rohtak was duped of Rs 3 lakh in the name of giving a rating and review to a hotel. The woman was contacted on WhatsApp. The woman has lodged a complaint of fraud with the police.

Deepika, an employee of the DC office of Rohtak, lodged a complaint of fraud in Arya Nagar police station. In the complaint, she said that on November 15, she received a message on WhatsApp in which she had to rate and review the hotel on its site.

She was also told that she will be paid for doing this. A Telegram link was sent on WhatsApp. Links to the hotel were also sent and she was asked to rate and review. After that, she was also paid some money through Paytm. After this, the accused talked and chatted and got her account opened.

The accused deceived her and made her deposit Rs 7 thousand.

When she asked for her money back, the accused made different excuses and swindled Rs 3 lakh 4 thousand 510 from her. When she came to know about the fraud, she told her father. After this he complained about the matter to the police. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
