The roof of a house suddenly collapsed late at night in Krishna Colony on Gohana Road in Rohtak district, causing heavy damage. Five members of the family were present at home during the accident. The family was terrified due to the sudden accident.
The head of the family, Ashok Kumar, said that he was going to sleep at night, when suddenly the roof of a room collapsed. It was fortunate that no one was in the room at that time, otherwise a major accident could have happened. The victim’s family has appealed to the government and administration for financial assistance.
Victim Ashok said that a sofa, bed, fridge, TV, fan and trunk were kept inside the room. Due to the sudden collapse of the roof, all the items got broken and damaged. At the same time, the walls of the adjoining rooms also cracked. They are afraid that other walls of the house may also collapse.
Ashok said that once during the rainy season, there was waterlogging, but there was no crack on the roof. Neither was there any crack in the wall. Suddenly the roof of the room collapsed, but there is no clear reason for the roof collapse.
Victim Ashok said that he drives an auto rickshaw on rent to run the household. Due to the sudden collapse of the roof, there was a big loss which is difficult to cover. The victim has appealed to the government and administration for financial help.
