Fatehabad: A ruckus broke out in Fatehabad, Haryana, on Tuesday morning when a school bus hit Kanwariya. Angry Kanwariyas pelted stones on the school bus. Children were also travelling on the bus at that time. Not only this, they also threw bricks on the bus as well as other vehicles passing by.
After this, the Kanwariyas left from there towards Sirsa, but the school bus drivers blocked the road. The victim driver called his other colleagues on the spot, who parked the buses haphazardly on the road. They were demanding the arrest of the Kanwariyas. After this incident, there was traffic on the Fatehabad to Ratia road for 3 hours.
People present on the spot have told me that in the morning a group of Kanwariyas was going to Kalanwali in Sirsa via Ratia after filling Kanwar from Haridwar. When the group was passing through Tohana Road in Ratia, the bus of Akal Academy hit a Kanwariya.
On the other hand, the youths carrying the Kanwar told about the incident that they were covering a long distance from Haridwar to Kalanwali with the Kanwar. When they were entering Ratia, a school bus was coming from behind. Its driver was repeatedly blowing the horn and asking for the side.
The side will be given as soon as the garbage is cleared. Even after this, the driver did not agree. When they forcibly tried to take the side and go out, one side of the bus hit the Kanwar.
The Kanwariyas said that after this they got angry and took the children out of the bus and broke its glass. At the same time, the bus driver, Jaspreet Singh, told me that he was coming towards Akal Academy of Ratia with the children of Deewana, Dher, Ghaswan, and Chimmo village. During this time, his bus was attacked.
DSP Sanjay Bishnoi, who reached the spot, said that efforts were made to convince the people who had blocked the road. They were steadfast in their demand for the arrest of the Kanwariyas, but they did not submit any complaints. If any complaint had come, action would have been taken as per the rules.
Later they were convinced, and the road was opened. After about 3 hours, the jam was cleared and traffic could start on the road.
