Chandigarh: For the civic elections in Haryana, BJP is continuously releasing the list of candidates for Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council and Municipality. Local level protests have started in the party regarding these lists. There has been a ruckus regarding the list of Municipal Council of Ambala Cantt Assembly of the state’s Energy Minister Anil Vij. The Energy Minister has expressed displeasure over the deletion of names of Vij supporters from this list.
In view of Vij’s displeasure, the list of ward councilors of the Municipal Council has been put on hold by the BJP. Now it is likely that this list will be released again soon.
Names of 15-16 Vij supporters were deleted
Actually, a list regarding the tickets of councilors in Ambala Cantt Municipal Council was sent to the party by Energy Minister Anil Vij. This list included the names of Anil Vij’s supporters, but when the list was released late last night, the names of 16 Anil Vij supporters were not in this list. In view of this, Vij called a meeting of his supporters and BJP workers in the morning itself.
In this meeting, objections were raised on the list, after which Vij raised objection on the list at the state level. After this, the list has been put on hold for the time being.
Vij even sent mail to Nadda
If sources are to be believed, Anil Vij, who is angry with the names of his supporters being deleted from the Nagar Parishad ward, has registered his displeasure with the central leadership. He has also mailed the list sent by him to the party’s national president JP Nadda. He has said that if his supporters are not given tickets, he will not campaign for the elections and will leave for abroad.
At the same time, the opposing faction has started campaigning on social media regarding the released list. They are writing that the tickets of Anil Vij’s supporters were cut and the leaders of the other faction were given MC tickets.
