“Sakshi Narwal makes History in CDS Exam, Secures All India first rank, inspires Youth with message of dedication and hard work”

Sakshi Narwal will be the third-generation officer of a family serving in the Indian Armed Forces.

Rohtak: Sakshi Narwal, daughter of Rohtak, Haryana, secured first rank at all India levels in the Combined Defense Services Examination(CDS).

Sakshi Narwal is currently a final-year student at the Army Law Institute in Mohali. Sakshi Narwal will be the third-generation officer of a family serving in the Indian Armed Forces.

Sakshi Narwal brought laurels to her parents and district by securing first rank at the all-India level in the Combined Defense Services Examination (2) 2023. With her brilliant success, she gave a message to the youth that any goal can be achieved with hard work and determination. Sakshi Narwal is currently a final-year student at the Army Law Institute in Mohali. Not only the family, but all the people in the district are feeling proud of her achievement.

The examination was conducted by the Union Public Services Commission.

After the written examination conducted by the Union Public Services Commission, the candidates are selected by the Service Selection Board under a 5-day rigorous selection process. The selected candidates will undergo 49 weeks of army training at the Officer Training Academy in Chennai in the coming October, and upon successful completion of the training, Sakshi Narwal will be appointed as a lieutenant in the Indian Army. Sakshi Narwal has not only fulfilled her dream but also that of her parents.

Her father is a director at a reputed school, and her mother, Seema Narwal, is serving as a student counsellor. Sakshi studied in 11 schools during her education and participated in various sports. She has been a national-level compound archer. She has attributed her success to her parents, from whom she has always received support and guidance.
