Hisar: BJP had released a list of 67 candidates for Haryana assembly elections on Wednesday late evening. As soon as the list was released, rebellion started in the party. Many officials resigned on social media from the party membership. On Thursday morning, the country’s fourth richest woman Savitri also gave signs of rebellion. After not getting a ticket from the BJP, she has announced to contest the election as an independent from Hisar.

Savitri Jindal told supporters, “I am not a primary member of BJP. I came back from Delhi to speak about not contesting the election, but seeing your love and trust, I will contest the election.”

Savitri is the mother of famous industrialist and BJP MP from Kurukshetra Naveen Jindal. She will contest against BJP minister Dr. Kamal Gupta on Hisar seat. The decision has been taken after she was denied ticket from the Hisar seat.

Not seeing Savitri Jindal’s name from Hisar in the list released by BJP on Wednesday, her supporters reached Jindal House on Thursday morning. Jindal’s supporters raised slogans for Savitri Jindal to contest the election as an independent. Supporters also brought a photo of her husband late OP Jindal.

Not jut Savitri Jindal but other MLAs who have been denied ticket have shown their displeasure and opened rebellion against the party.
