Panchkula : Nautapa will be very hot in Haryana for 3 days. In view of this, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in 16 districts of the state on 26, 27 and 28 May.
The districts under red alert include Mahendragarh, Rewari, Jhajjar, Gurugram, Mewat, Palwal, Faridabad, Rohtak, Sonipat, Panipat, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Jind, Bhiwani and Charkhi Dadri.
1 to 2 degree increase in temperature may be seen here. The Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert in the rest of the districts of the state. These include Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal. In these districts also the temperature was recorded around 44 to 45 degrees.
How will the weather be in coming days?
Meteorologist says that the weather will remain dry in Haryana during the next 4-5 days. At present, the maximum temperature in some parts of the state remains between 45-46 degrees. The maximum temperature will gradually increase by 2-3 degrees in the next 3-4 days. However, in the northern parts of the state it is likely to remain between 42-44 degrees.
Due to this, the heat wave is expected to continue in the state. There will be severe heatwave conditions, especially in the southern and western parts, where the day temperature can reach 46 to 47 degrees at some places. At the same time, during the next 24 hours, hot night conditions may occur at some places in the state and thereafter at isolated places.
No rained from last two and a half months
Haryana has received 31% less rainfall in two and a half months. More than normal rainfall has occurred in 4 districts Jind, Kurukshetra, Kaithal and Karnal and Ambala has received near normal rainfall. Whereas, 17 districts have received less than normal rainfall.
There should have been 35 mm rainfall in the state till May 20, but 24.8 mm rainfall has been recorded. Haryana has received only 4.2 mm rainfall so far in May, whereas 11.3 mm rainfall is considered normal in this month.
