There was a sensation in New Model Town of Panipat on Thursday when unknown assailants opened indiscriminate fire on a house. In this incident, bullets hit the wall of the house, a car, and a water tank. As soon as the information about the incident was received, Model Town Police and Forensic Team reached the spot and started an investigation.
According to preliminary information, this incident took place in a residential area of New Model Town. Eyewitnesses said that suddenly the sound of gunfire was heard, due to which the people around panicked. Several bullet marks have been found on the wall of the house, while a car and a water tank parked there have also been damaged.
Model Town Police Station in-charge said that the forensic team is collecting evidence at the spot. The attackers have not been identified yet, but the police have registered a case and CCTV footage is being examined. According to preliminary estimates, this incident may be the result of mutual enmity or some old dispute.
