They approached the officials with complaints dozens of times but there was no hearing.

Rewari: People of Chandpur ki Dhani in the city are yearning for drinking water. They are getting water once in 15 days, due to which people are facing a lot of problems. Angered due to this problem, local people blocked the Rewari-Bawal road on Friday. After getting information about the jam, the police reached the spot but a large number of women present there did not open the blockade. However, the jam was opened after the police called the concerned officials and assured them.

Tina, Bimalesh and other women living in Chandpur ki Dhani said that the problem of drinking water in their colony has been there for a long time. They approached the officials with complaints dozens of times but there was no hearing.

They had blocked the road a month ago as well. Then the water was supplied by the department but now the same problem persists again. They are tired of ordering drinking water tankers. A water tanker comes once for one thousand rupees. It is also not possible to order water tankers every day.

According to the women, they had met the officials two days ago regarding the problem of drinking water but still water did not come. In such a situation, they were forced to come on the road. In the morning, many women living in the colony gathered and blocked the Bawal road. The road on both sides was blocked by placing big logs and barriers on the road.

Dozens of city buses carry people working in the company on this route connecting the Bawal Industrial Area in the morning. In such a situation, people working in the company also got stuck due to the jam.
