Gurugram: Popular Haryanvi singer Rahul Fazilpuria narrowly escaped a gun attack in Gurugram on Monday evening, prompting a police investigation into the incident.
According to officials, unidentified assailants opened fire at Fazilpuria’s vehicle near Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) in the city. Initial reports suggest two to three rounds were fired. The singer was unharmed in the incident, and the attackers fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
Gurugram Police have launched a probe and are examining CCTV footage from the area to identify the culprits. Forensic teams have collected evidence from the spot, and a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Senior police officials have not ruled out the possibility of the attack being linked to extortion or a personal rivalry. Fazilpuria, known for hits like “Ladhki Beautiful” and “Baawli Tared,” has not yet released a statement.
Police said further details will be shared after preliminary investigation is complete. No arrests have been made so far.
