Smuggler from Punjab arrested with heroin in Hisar

A case was registered against the accused under the NDPS Act in Hisar city police station.

Hisar: The anti-drug police team of Hisar police recovered 261 grams of heroin from a person on Friday. The accused had hidden the drug under his pants. The police arrested the accused and interrogated him. He had brought the heroin from Punjab.

Team-in-charge sub-inspector Inder Singh said that the police team arrested a person from Sirsa Chungi based on information. On asking his name and address, he told his name as Sahil Preet Singh, a resident of Firozpur, Punjab.

When a search was conducted in the presence of Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunil Kumar, Sahil Preet Singh had pasted a polythene with tape under his pants. When he took it off and checked, the drug heroin was recovered from it. Its total weight was 261 grams.

A case was registered against the accused under the NDPS Act in Hisar city police station. Initial interrogation revealed that he had brought this heroin from Punjab and was to supply it in village Peeravali. Further intensive interrogation of the accused is going on and the accused will be produced tomorrow.
