The team of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Kaithal has arrested Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of Cyber ​​Police Station Sonipat red handed for taking a bribe of Rs 80 thousand. It is alleged that during the investigation of a fraud case registered in the Cyber ​​Police Station, he had demanded two lakh rupees from a youth of Kaithal in exchange for getting him out of the case by telling him that his name had come up. Later, the deal was struck for 80 thousand. The ASI had called the youth to Sonipat. Here the ACB team set a trap and arrested the ASI while taking the bribe.

ACB, Kaithal Inspector Mahendra Singh said that Kaithal resident Aman Singh had called on the toll free number of ACB on Tuesday morning. The complainant had told that ASI Sanjay Singh of Sonipat Cyber ​​Police Station had demanded 80 thousand rupees from him. ASI Sanjay Singh said that Aman Singh’s name has been added in the investigation of case number five registered in Sonipat police station. He had demanded two lakh rupees in exchange for getting his name removed from the case. In which he fixed the deal for 80 thousand rupees. On which SP ACB Ambala formed a team under the leadership of Inspector Mahendra Singh. A trap was laid to catch the bribe-taking ASI. The team gave 80 thousand rupees to Aman Singh.

On Tuesday, Aman Singh came to the police station in Sector-23 to give the money and handed over the money to Sanjay Singh. The ACB team, which had already laid a trap, arrested the ASI red-handed along with the bribe amount. The accused is being questioned by taking him to Sonipat Vigilance.
