Sonipat: Bike rider dies after collision with dumper

The police have sent the body to the civil hospital for post-mortem.

A youth working at a CNG pump died in a road accident near Kumaspur bridge on NH-44 in Sonipat. The accident occurred when the youth’s motorcycle collided with a dumper parked carelessly on the roadside. The police have sent the body to the civil hospital for post-mortem.

Jasmer, a resident of village Chamrada in Panipat district, in a complaint lodged at Bahalgarh police station, said that his nephew Anmol (son Jagmer), resident of village Chamrada, worked at a CNG pump located in Sector-7 of Sonipat. On the night of April 17, at around 8 pm, he was returning home on his Splendor motorcycle after finishing his duty.

He told that while climbing the Kumaspur bridge, Anmol’s bike collided with a parked dumper loaded with bricks. The left tire of the dumper was out and there was no safety mark or reflector on the vehicle. After the accident, the injured Anmol was taken to the government hospital in Sonipat, where after examination, the doctors declared him dead.

After getting information about the accident, the family reached Sonipat. After this, the police was informed about the accident. On the complaint of the deceased’s uncle Jasmer, the police have registered a case under sections 285, 106 in Bahalgarh police station. The police team led by ASI Raju has inspected the spot and started further investigation.
