Hisar: A speeding car hit a farmer in Hansi area of Hisar, killing him on the spot. The incident took place on the Delhi-Dabwali National Highway near Garhi village. 56-year-old Jai Singh was going home from the farm with fodder for the animals. Meanwhile, a car hit him on the way. After the accident, the driver fled with his car.
The police station got the post-mortem done at Hansi Civil Hospital and handed over the body to the family. After taking the statement of the family, the police registered a case against the unknown driver.
His nephew who witnessed the accident told police that he was behind him on the other cycle. He said that his Uncle Jaisingh was going ahead on his cycle and he himself was following him on another cycle. When he reached a little ahead of Yaduvanshi School on Delhi National Highway, a speeding car coming from behind hit his uncle.”
The speeding car instead of stopping by fled away from the spot. Jai Singh who sustained serious injuries was taken to Hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
