Health Minister lays foundation for New Food Hub to benefit street vendors in Hisar

In this food hub, basic facilities will be provided for the street vendors.

Hisar: A street food hub will be built in 4000 square yards in the cloth market of Hisar city, Haryana. Haryana Health Minister Dr Kamal Gupta laid the foundation stone of the food hub. This food hub will be built for street vendors, apart from food and drinks, fruits and vegetables will be available. A shed will be built in the food hub to avoid sun and rain, and interlocking pure blocks will be installed on the floor.

In this food hub, basic facilities will be provided for the street vendors as well as the people coming here. Electricity and water facilities will be provided for street vendors; there will be a place to sit; and toilets will also be arranged. The food hub will be connected to the parking of Sector 14 Commercial Pocket, which will provide convenience to the buyers in parking their vehicles.

Health Minister Dr Health Minister lays the foundation for the New Food Hub to benefit street vendors in Hisar Kamal Gupta said, “to ensure that the residents get clean food in this food hub, the food preparers here will have to follow the standards of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, in which they will have to wear gloves on their hands and caps on their heads. The oil and spices used in the food will also be as per the standards of FSSAI. It will cost around Rs 1 crore to build this project.”.

Municipal Corporation Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya said that at present there are 2385 cows, 365 bulls, and a total of 2750 animals in the Gau Abhyaranya Kendra located on Dhandhoor Road. It is currently in an area of 52 acres, of which 12.5 acres is cultivable land, 14 acres are Nandishala, and 25.5 acres are Gau-Abhyaranya.
