Haryana: On Monday, students protested uniquely under the banner of Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti at Gate No. 1 of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) located in Rohtak, Haryana. During this, the students fried pakodas and protested against the increased fees.
Deepak Dhankhar, former state president of Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti, said that MDU has released the projects of UG courses. In which the fees of each course have been increased by four to five times. He said that MDU has increased the financial burden on the students by increasing the fees. He also demanded that the fee hike be withdrawn as soon as possible.
In such a situation, poor students cannot take admission. Therefore, they are forced to fry pakodas. Such educational institutions should keep the fees low to improve the future of poor children. But MDU has done the work of privatization and commercialization by increasing the fees. It should be withdrawn with immediate effect.
He said that the government should give the budget here. But the educational institution is collecting revenue and giving it to the government. He said that today we have protested by frying pakodas. If the university administration does not withdraw the increased fees, then we will also meet the Governor. We will sit on a dharna there and go on a hunger strike.
